Bell Stores, Incorporated owns and operates convenience stores operating under the “BellStores” banner. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Types of Information
You have no obligation to provide personal information to BellStores or to enroll or participate in the Rewards Program. Use of the Website and participation in various BellStores’ initiatives (including, without limitation, the Rewards Program, promotions, surveys, polls, and sweepstakes), however, may require disclosure of personal information. The types of information you may provide to BellStores include: (i) personally identifiable information (“PII”) and (ii) other nonidentifiable information (“Non-PII” and together with PII, “Customer Information”). PII is information that could reasonably be used to identify you, including, without limitation, your name, address, e-mail address(es), telephone number, and Rewards Program card number.
Non-PII is any information that does not reveal your specific identity or does not directly relate to an individual, such as: browser information; information collected through cookies, pixel tags and other technologies; demographic information and other information provided by you; information from other sources including updated address information; and aggregated information, including aggregated PII and aggregated transaction data that has been aggregated so that no single individual is identifiable.
Use of Information
We use the PII that you provide to us for such purposes as responding to your requests or questions, providing customer support, improving our services, communicating with you, providing you with information that we believe would interest you, administering the Rewards Program, providing you with information about important functionality changes to our programs and the Website or sharing information with our Affiliates. We engage third party companies to perform services on our behalf (such as conducting research and performing analysis in order to measure, maintain, protect, develop and improve our products and services). These third parties have access to your PII so that they may perform these tasks on our behalf and they are prohibited by us from using or disclosing your information for any purpose other than to provide this assistance, except to the extent required by law.
We may provide PII and other information to the brands participating in the Rewards Programs, their affiliated companies and their respective advertising, promotions and public relations companies. Use of such PII by these brands is subject to their respective privacy policies.
We use Non-PII information for such purposes as understanding how the Website is used, understanding of customer purchases and decisions at BellStores, to facilitate navigation, to personalize your experience, and to diagnose problems. We may permit our service providers to use aggregate information which does not identify you or de-identified data for other purposes.
Information Collection and Technologies
We may collect certain technical information from your computer or internet-enabled device or phone when you visit the Website, including, without limitation, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your computer’s operating system, browser type, and any referring website address. We use this information to enhance your experience during your visit to the Website and for system administration, security, and troubleshooting purposes.
We may use third party software to provide advertisements on the Website, implement e-mail marketing campaigns, and manage other interactive marketing initiatives. We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.
Our mobile application may collect certain information from you automatically, including, without limitation, the type of mobile device, the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and the location of your mobile device (provided that you give permission for the application of location services). You can stop the collection of information via your mobile device by uninstalling the mobile application (or, to discontinue the location information only, you can adjust your permission settings in your mobile device).
Privacy of Children
The Website and the Rewards Program is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13. If we learn we have collected or received PII from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at bellbuddyrewards@BellStores.com.
We maintain strict security protocols, including physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, to protect Customer Information. These protocols include compliance with federal law and regulations and the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or disclosure of your personal information. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
You can help us by also taking precautions to protect your PII when you are on the internet. Change your passwords often using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure web browser.
The term “Affiliates” shall mean all current or future companies or entities that now or that are in the future: (a) controlled by; (b) under common control with; or (c) controlling Bell Stores, Incorporated, wherein “control” means possession directly or indirectly of the power to direct or cause the direction of management or policies of an entity through the ownership of at least fifty percent (50%) of the voting securities, by contract, or otherwise.
